BOOKS BARO ANDOLAN(Chintamani, N R Pura, Doddaballapur,Vishwanathapura & JSS PU College )

                               Journey With Books

“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”

You read Newspapers, magazines and blogs to gain knowledge. Some information will be missing always in those mediums. If you are in quest of gaining complete knowledge then books are the only thing which you can rely on. Especially when it comes to academics, nothing matches a good book. You can sit silently in a corner of a room and solve math problems, derive a physics formula and practice chemistry equations without anyone's help.

This made RAMOSE to take up an initiative to distribute academical books to needy students.

The students in urban areas have all facilities to perform well in the exams. They have world-class libraries, good college and a high-end tutorial classes. On the other hand RURAL STUDENTS are finding scarcity of good books, good coaching and good infrastructure. Hence we came up with this initiative,an initiative of Distribution Of Knowledge.

1. Chintamani, Kolar (BBA-1)

We collected over 1000 CET and other important books from the students-in-city  and distributed it to the needy students in Chintamani, Kolar. This was the first phase. We distributed it to Govt Boys PU college and Royal PU college in August 2012. Those colleges collected books and made a free library where each and every student can access it and that was successful first phase of journey with books.

2. N.R Pura, Shimoga(BBA-2)

The relationship of RAMOSE and books did not end with our first event.
We were glad to know that CET results got better after our first distribution at CHINTAMANI. We again collected CET books from our juniors and our second phase was at Shimoga. In rains and pains, RAMOSE carried around 200 CET books and other study materials to Govt PU College of N.R Pura in July 2013
RAMOSE also conducted a CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION and had a great interacting session with students. We said them the importance of CET and also discussed few problem of theirs'.

3. Sri Kongadiyappa College, Doddaballapura. (BBA-3)

As we proceeded one complete year of RAMOSE, we got like minded juniors who were willing to serve. Then we began our third journey with books. This time at DODDABALLAPURA.
We went to Sri Kongadiyappa College  and thus our third phase of BBA started.
We got better as our journey continued. This time we roared with lot of people to support. The idea of branching got real.We were able to make more books and hence more service
This was one of the best BBA till now as the faculty welcomed us whole heatedly and appreciated us. We distributed more than 200 Books and our bonding with books continued.

4. Vishwanathapura, Devanahalli (BBA-4)

After three successful books baro andolan,we wanted to make this event more often.

We came to know about a small PU college in the Devanahalli and Doddaballapura high way and headed towards it. It's a Govt PU College of Vishwanathapura with 25-30 second PU students.
Numbers did not matter us,serving was the only motto. Around 100 Books were given and memories built were enormous.

5. JSS PU College, Bangalore (BBA-5)

We started this organization with the intent of branching. And making justice to it,we started branching at College levels. One is JSS-YODHA, The Engineering students of JSS college under the Guidance of RAMOSE done it's Fifth phase of BBA .They collected books from college students distributed it to the JSS PU COLLEGE.

Honestly speaking,Books Baro Andolan will be the greatest gift of RAMOSE to the society. The satisfaction this event has brought is enormous. We always cherish the moments with books.Ramose is deeply attached to books and we always promise to do more.As some call it,RAMOSE love story with books,no offence being called so,at the end of the day we smile,we make others smile.Have you seen somebody roaring and smiling?Lets give it a thought.ROAR FOR MORE with smiles.

RAMOSE AND ANGELS

To start doing service you need not have great funds or you need stand for election, you can just go and start with a school, college, your ward  by doing small things which give great satisfaction.

Ramose too started its event”EDUCATION FOR ALL” in a small school at Naganayakanahalli(Kanakapura Road).

Ramose discovered a new way of service which does not involve much financial requirements ,rather works on principle of redistribution.

Ramose made study kits which contained  a note book, pen, pencil, eraser and many more stationery.
We conducted activities like TALENT HUNT,"FUND"AY in urban colleges and were successful in making more than 80 study kits

On 28th september 2012, RAMOSE along with 80+ kits went to Naganayakanahalli Govt. School in BMTC bus. Reached the school and the students there were also excited to see us. Firstly we interacted with the Head Master of the school and he gave us complete freedom to do activities.

                                                    playing kabaddi with kids

BACK TO SCHOOL:

We were fortunate to get back to school, the days which we always cherish. Then we started indoor and outdoor activities like interaction with students, games like Kabbadi, kho kho matches. Later we had lunch with them and gave them the kits wished them good luck
.

By the time we left the school there was no buses to go from Naganayakanahalli to Kanakpura Road, but we luckily got a mud tractor which dropped us to kanakpura main road.
At the end of the day we promised them to come again.

Yes, we kept our promise. We went back to school as promised, this time with the feeling of going to our own school with crayons and study kit.
And in this one year gap we had some good activities to do. Ramose celebrated one year birthday and its second year also started with the school with full of joy.
We went in our bikes to school with crayons, study kit and drawing sheets. As soon as we entered the school all students were shouting our names and were welcoming us. It was so excited to see their happiness and the Head master this time appreciated by seeing our one year achievements and gave us the whole day to spend with students.

Firstly we gave drawing sheets and made everyone to participate in drawing competition. At that time we the Ramoseans also became kids and joined them.

Had lunch with them and then we played Kabbadi, Kho Kho and made our day special. Winners of the drawing competition were given prizes and we distributed chocolates to all, along with Kits.

We won so many hearts along with love. They promised us to study well and we promised them to help in achieving it.
This activity will always be remembered.Ramose is working hard to get more schools and make more study kits.We promise to do more.

NATION AT ITS DEAD END(CALL THE CORPORATOR)

Finally an opportunity to write. An opportunity where I can reach the great citizens of this country. An opportunity where I can contribute for making the great, THE GREATEST.
This country is so fascinating,it has everything which an ordinary citizen expect it to be.Right from software job opportunities to the visual entertainment of item songs.U have everything here.
Citizens are content here. They are happy enough to sit back at their homes on national holidays and enjoy the most awaited movies.Am proud to say my fellow citizens are happy.

I make this statement with an intent, after a good look on my experiences with people, its solemnly not just my words. But I don't find any reasons to argue on that.Yes, we are happy enough.
We find happiness when INDIA BEAT AUSTRALIA in a cricket match,we find happiness when we hear that INDIA RANKS ONE AMONG THE TOP TEN MILITARY FORCES,we find happiness while eating the road side yummy "golgappa" and at many more times.

Happiness has its own definition here.People here never want change. They have accepted lot of things. To be said,CORRUPTION,DIRTY POLITICS,CASTE SYSTEM,CASTE VOTE BANKS and loads like this. They neither try to change these things,if tried they won't proceed,if they do proceed then they won't win.Take time to think what have you done in changing these things apart from commenting at regular basis.OK,if u believe you can't change this, call yourself a happy citizen or stop commenting and do start working. This country is few miles away from its DEAD END.
Its just minutes away in reaching the point where either sides are route less. When I make such serious allegations I do have to prove my take.

RAMOSE,a small friend group which is constantly trying to make a change launched CALL THE CORPORATOR,a campaign where you call your local political representative and demand for your rights and solve the problems of your surroundings.I do like to brief you a bit about this campaign so that it could inspire a few.I would say both the sides of the campaign,GOOD and BAD and will let you judge its efficiency of impact.

A group of fifteen can have this campaign in their respective wards. They can divide themselves into a group of FIVE and survey the streets of their wards. They can question the public about many issues like street light problems, street dog problems, drinking water facilities, women safety etc.We made 20 such questions.Problems said by the public is noted down with the house number and street number.Photos are also captured if its a garbage dump or open pit.The phone numbers of corporator,MLA and other important government bodies are short listed and is given to each home.
From all the data collected, A REPORT IS MADE which consists of problems and suggestions.
This report is personally taken to local MLA and corporator. You have all the rights TO QUESTION YOUR WORKER WHOM YOU HIRED BY VOTING.Don't be scared of the response.Don't think many things.Just give your try.We were lucky enough to get good response and also get few problems solved. If you want the same.BE SMART,gather good amount pf youths through facebook and other online support and don't come back till your problems are solved. Here you go,you are responsible for solving more than 50 problems of your area.HOW COOL IS THAT!!
Go home, eat well have a good sleep,YOU HAVE MORE THINGS TO DO TOMORROW.

OK,now comes my topic. How do I relate this to happiness, silence, citizens and the DEAD END.
YAP, other side of the campaign. We surveyed almost 350 homes in total including the first campaign.People do really said their problems. But every one of them had a smile on their face. Why was that?PEOPLE knew these problems can never be solved. They had that sarcastic smile involved with anger and also acceptance. They never expect them to get changed too.Infact we were advised by some homes to stop this campaign and have a good lunch rather. Are they happy enough to say they don't need change?NO,I don't agree that.6 OUT OF EVERY TEN INDIANS ARE BORN POOR,1crore of population still carry shit on their heads and earn their food,no roads are proper,no women is safe, there is a fear of terrorism everywhere, petrol is hiking at its best, its CORRUPTION all over, you cant get a job even after years of completing your degree..There are tons and tons of problems.Still my fellow citizens are happy and they don't need change.

If you need change, don't ask for it,WORK FOR IT. If you think someone would work for the change then please forget the change.Because your are that someone for someone.
Is cowardness stopping you?we have never inherited cowardness. We are part of the land where BHAGATH SINGH,CHANDRSHEKAR AZAD,TIPPU SULTAN was born. Our genes never have that.If you are coward,YOU ARE NOT BORN FROM AN INDIAN GENE.
Is that fear of failure stopping you?
you often preach that failure is stepping stone of success and now you blame that failure. If you think you have failed already then good news..Your victory is waiting.
or are you stopping yourself?
If you don't find any reason why are you not working for change then, time is here, tie your lays and walk towards the change.
LETS not drive this nation to its DEAD end. We need a U(you) turn.We need U to be the cause of change. We need U to change.Change the definition of happiness.Design your destiny.

MAKE THIS NATION A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE.
