Journey With Books
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”
You read Newspapers, magazines and blogs to gain knowledge. Some information will be missing always in those mediums. If you are in quest of gaining complete knowledge then books are the only thing which you can rely on. Especially when it comes to academics, nothing matches a good book. You can sit silently in a corner of a room and solve math problems, derive a physics formula and practice chemistry equations without anyone's help.
This made RAMOSE to take up an initiative to distribute academical books to needy students.
The students in urban areas have all facilities to perform well in the exams. They have world-class libraries, good college and a high-end tutorial classes. On the other hand RURAL STUDENTS are finding scarcity of good books, good coaching and good infrastructure. Hence we came up with this initiative,an initiative of Distribution Of Knowledge.
1. Chintamani, Kolar (BBA-1)
We collected over 1000 CET and other important books from the students-in-city and distributed it to the needy students in Chintamani, Kolar. This was the first phase. We distributed it to Govt Boys PU college and Royal PU college in August 2012. Those colleges collected books and made a free library where each and every student can access it and that was successful first phase of journey with books.

2. N.R Pura, Shimoga(BBA-2)
The relationship of RAMOSE and books did not end with our first event.
We were glad to know that CET results got better after our first distribution at CHINTAMANI. We again collected CET books from our juniors and our second phase was at Shimoga. In rains and pains, RAMOSE carried around 200 CET books and other study materials to Govt PU College of N.R Pura in July 2013.RAMOSE also conducted a CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION and had a great interacting session with students. We said them the importance of CET and also discussed few problem of theirs'.
3. Sri Kongadiyappa College, Doddaballapura. (BBA-3)
As we proceeded one complete year of RAMOSE, we got like minded juniors who were willing to serve. Then we began our third journey with books. This time at DODDABALLAPURA.
We went to Sri Kongadiyappa College and thus our third phase of BBA started. We got better as our journey continued. This time we roared with lot of people to support. The idea of branching got real.We were able to make more books and hence more service.
This was one of the best BBA till now as the faculty welcomed us whole heatedly and appreciated us. We distributed more than 200 Books and our bonding with books continued.
4. Vishwanathapura, Devanahalli (BBA-4)
After three successful books baro andolan,we wanted to make this event more often. We came to know about a small PU college in the Devanahalli and Doddaballapura high way and headed towards it. It's a Govt PU College of Vishwanathapura with 25-30 second PU students.
Numbers did not matter us,serving was the only motto. Around 100 Books were given and memories built were enormous.
5. JSS PU College, Bangalore (BBA-5)
We started this organization with the intent of branching. And making justice to it,we started branching at College levels. One is JSS-YODHA, The Engineering students of JSS college under the Guidance of RAMOSE done it's Fifth phase of BBA .They collected books from college students distributed it to the JSS PU COLLEGE.
Honestly speaking,Books Baro Andolan will be the greatest gift of RAMOSE to the society. The satisfaction this event has brought is enormous. We always cherish the moments with books.Ramose is deeply attached to books and we always promise to do more.As some call it,RAMOSE love story with books,no offence being called so,at the end of the day we smile,we make others smile.Have you seen somebody roaring and smiling?Lets give it a thought.ROAR FOR MORE with smiles.
